Physical Activity

In today’s world, it’s easy to be inactive. We travel by car. Machines do our basic chores. And TVs, computers and video games encourage us to spend a lot of time sitting down. At least two in five of us in British Columbia don’t get regular physical activity – which means we’re missing out on a whole host of benefits.

The good news is that getting active – and getting those benefits – is pretty easy, too.

Adults can increase their health and wellness by adding just 30 minutes of physical activity – the equivalent of two coffee breaks – to each day. Kids need 60 to 90 minutes. And guess what? It’s fun.
